Scope of application
This policy applies to:
- placement of advertising space
- declared sponsored content
- informational projects carried out with companies
- medium- to long-term partnerships
- other forms of commercial collaboration
Fundamental principle
LIFE Science Tube was created as an independent science communication project.
Commercial communication is permitted only when:
- does not compromise editorial and scientific autonomy
- does not convey misleading messages or content not supported by evidence
- does not promise benefits that cannot be demonstrated
- respects public health principles
The protection of readers takes precedence over any economic interest.
Eligibility criteria for collaborations
Commercial collaboration proposals are evaluated only if:
- consistent with public health principles
- supported by verifiable scientific evidence, when relevant
- compliant with current regulations (e.g., EFSA, EMA, FDA or equivalents)
- respectful of ethics, sustainability and social responsibility
- free of sensationalist or misleading communications
Evaluation process
Every commercial proposal is subject to a structured process that may include:
- preliminary analysis of the proposal
- assessment of informational and scientific requirements
- review by the Scientific Committee, where necessary
- verification of ethical and communicative consistency
- possible editorial review
Submitting a proposal does not guarantee approval or publication.
Editorial and scientific autonomy
- LIFE Science Tube maintains full editorial and scientific autonomy
- Companies do not influence content, conclusions or interpretations
- No collaboration may influence informational messages
- Editorial decisions are motivated exclusively by scientific and ethical criteria
Scientific evidence and responsibility
LIFE Science Tube does not host communications that:
- promise miraculous results
- promote unproven treatments
- spread misleading information
- could cause harm to health
Lack of evidence or transparency constitutes grounds for refusal or termination of the collaboration.
Guiding principle:
In the health sector, commercial communication must be subordinate to the protection of public health.
