Commercial collaboration

Responsible communication, public health and editorial independence

Scope of application

This policy applies to:

  • placement of advertising space
  • declared sponsored content
  • informational projects carried out with companies
  • medium- to long-term partnerships
  • other forms of commercial collaboration

Fundamental principle

LIFE Science Tube was created as an independent science communication project.

Commercial communication is permitted only when:

  • does not compromise editorial and scientific autonomy
  • does not convey misleading messages or content not supported by evidence
  • does not promise benefits that cannot be demonstrated
  • respects public health principles

The protection of readers takes precedence over any economic interest.

Eligibility criteria for collaborations

Commercial collaboration proposals are evaluated only if:

  • consistent with public health principles
  • supported by verifiable scientific evidence, when relevant
  • compliant with current regulations (e.g., EFSA, EMA, FDA or equivalents)
  • respectful of ethics, sustainability and social responsibility
  • free of sensationalist or misleading communications

Evaluation process

Every commercial proposal is subject to a structured process that may include:

  • preliminary analysis of the proposal
  • assessment of informational and scientific requirements
  • review by the Scientific Committee, where necessary
  • verification of ethical and communicative consistency
  • possible editorial review

Submitting a proposal does not guarantee approval or publication.

Editorial and scientific autonomy

  • LIFE Science Tube maintains full editorial and scientific autonomy
  • Companies do not influence content, conclusions or interpretations
  • No collaboration may influence informational messages
  • Editorial decisions are motivated exclusively by scientific and ethical criteria

Scientific evidence and responsibility

LIFE Science Tube does not host communications that:

  • promise miraculous results
  • promote unproven treatments
  • spread misleading information
  • could cause harm to health

Lack of evidence or transparency constitutes grounds for refusal or termination of the collaboration.

Guiding principle:

In the health sector, commercial communication must be subordinate to the protection of public health.
